SAM SHANNAHAN WELL CO., INC. (dba SHARP WATER) IS ONCE AGAIN FAMILY-OWNED!

On January 1, 2004, Chesapeake Utilities Corporation announced that the Company has sold substantially all of the assets of Sam Shannahan Well Co., Inc., with locations in Salisbury, MD and Dover, DE, to D.J. and Cindy Shannahan, son and daughter-in-law of the former owners Duke and Joyce Shannahan. Known as Tolan Water Service from 1970 to 1999, the company has done business as Sharp Water for the past 4 years. D.J. Shannahan who has served as the company's Vice-President and General Manager for the past 14 years will now take the lead role as the company's President. His wife Cindy is the company's Secretary/Treasurer as well as the Office Manager. Their two daughters Jessica and Kelsey will also assist with the business, and all 23 employees will be retained.
Sharp Water is a nationally recognized, award winning water treatment dealership that has been serving the area for more than 30 years. The dealership will continue to serve residents of the Delmarva Peninsula in Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia, as well as southern New Castle County, DE and Cecil County, MD.
